| TRAVEL INSURANCE | We advise you to obtain travel insurance to cover cancellation and illness or loss of luggage whilst on tour. Consult your travel agent, your medical insurance company, or other insurer for an appropriate travel insurance policy. | ||||||||||||
| YOUR AGE AND HEALTH | We have no age limits for our tours. We do, however, trust your good sense and suggest that you check with your doctor if you are elderly or have recently had a serious illness. Some of our tours go to very remote locations and, although I take a satellite phone and emergency services are not far away, it is better to be 'safe than sorry'.
You may also consider having a flu injection before we leave, particularly on winter tours. You may be more vulnerable to seasonal infections, like colds and flu, because of the variety of temperatures encountered on the tours and the fact that you travel in close confinement with other people. (see Travel Insurance above.)
| THE BUS | The bus is fully air-conditioned, has elevated cloth seats, tinted windows and curtains, foot rests and iced water on tap. There is also an entertainment centre for music and movies (on long tours).
The bus has limited space for hand luggage although the trailer, which is hitched to the bus, can take a reasonable amount of luggage. (see What to Take.) Liquids, such as water or soft drinks, may be taken on the bus as long as they are in screw-topped or other lidded containers (to prevent spillage). Food cannot be consumed on the bus.

Strong comfortable walking shoes are essential. You might like to pack a tracksuit and bathers (swimsuit) as well as a pair of thongs. If the tour involves camping, a torch and a sleeping bag will be necessary and, if it is a winter tour, an additional rug.
Luggage should be kept to a minimum with just one medium-size suitcase recommended.

You are asked to share in the washing up after meals :-)

| CAMPING ACCOMMODATION | I aim to make your camping experience as comfortable as possible. You will not be asked to erect your own tent. Instead you will be invited to join a group (according to your ability and agility) to do one task to help set up the entire camp. This may be to hammer pegs for the tents, bring out the chairs, allocate the stretchers, gather firewood or help with preparing the evening meal. The whole exercise takes about 30 minutes. (One tour group were able to set up the entire camp in 15 minutes).
Tents and Camping equipment We also provide electric floodlighting of the camp area.
Camping in Caravan Parks At many of the parks we are able to have a campfire - essential for pre and post-dinner drinks and chats.
Camping in the Bush
We carry plenty of water for you to have a thorough wash.
| MOTEL AND CABIN ACCOMODATION | Motel Accommodation Motels are of a high standard - 3 star or better. Generally, evening meals and cooked breakfasts are provided when we stay in motels. Sometimes it may be necessary to use two different motels.
