Gascoyne Extended Days Tour


Day 1
Perth-Kalbarri
Leaving Perth we travel the Brand Highway to Cataby, which will be our morning tea stop, before heading to Dongara for our tasty lunch by the ocean and a bit of time to wonder around this fantastic seaside town. With full tummies we head to Geraldton and the Sydney War Memorial, for a look at a slice of our wartime history, before heading to Kalbarri for our two night stop over. Tonight's meal will be at Finnlays Fish BBQ, this is not to be missed, a step back in time as the restaurant was in its hey day the ice works. (Morning tea not included in fare)
Day 2
Kalbarri
Today we start the day having breakfast on our boat cruise of the river region, some of the sights you will see this time of the morning are quite wonderful. After disembarking the boat, we head to the Gorges in the Kalbarri National Park, it's here we also enjoy our lunch, before returning to our accommodation and some free time to wonder the town. (Boat cruises included in fare)
Day 3
Denham
Leaving Kalbarri behind, we travel to the Town of Denham, this is our stop over town for the next two nights, on the way we take in the Eagles Nest Lookout and Boardwalk, also stopping at Shell Beach, with luck we should see sharks and manta rays at Eagles Nest lookout, the rest of the afternoon is yours to do as you please. (Morning tea not included this day)
Day 4
Monkey Mia
We start the day heading to Monkey Mia, to see those lovely creatures of the deep the dolphins and to learn more about them. We spend most of the day here, swimming and in general just relaxing! Mid afternoon, we return to our accommodation. (Morning tea and Lunch not included this day)
Day 5
Carnarvon
Today we travel to Carnarvon, we have a look a 1 mile jetty and some time in town, before arriving at our accommodation, this is relaxation time around the pool or just in your rooms.
Day 6
Coral Bay
Today we travel to beautiful Coral Bay, now this is living, everything you could ask for is at our door step. Another town to just relax and do nothing, but if you like there is plenty to do.We check into our accommodation and take in the serenity, are we relaxed yet? (Morning Tea not included this day)

Day 7
We start the day with a boat cruise and take in the wonders of Ningaloo Reef, some of the coral and marine life we see is truly beautiful. The afternoon is free time to do as you wish, again take advantage of this wonderful place on the Western Australian coast. (Boat cruise included in fare, Lunch not included this day)
Day 8
Exmouth
After a lay in this morning, we meander up the road to Exmouth, once home to the Americans as they used the area in the Second World War as a submarine base. Exmouth was not declared a town till 1967, when the base was established by the Australian and United States governments. We settle into our accommodation and once again have some relation time.
Day 9
Cape Range National Park
The start to the day is a drive to Charles Knife Canyon in the Cape Range National Park, this is an exceptional scenic drive, not to be missed.Later we travel to Yardie Creek and here we board our boat for a cruise of river and another view of the canyons. Later we drive to Turquoise bay, where we enjoy lunch and the rest of the day, in this truly a superb spot. (Entry to National Park and Boat cruise included in fare)
Day 10
Mt Augustus
An early start today as we head to Mt Augustus, we leave the bitumen and travel the dirt roads of the outback, passing several stations, such as Lyndon and Cobra, before arriving at Mt Augustus, which is the largest monolith in the world. We settle into our accommodation and take in the grandeur of this place, before enjoying sunset over the Rock.

Day 11
Mt Augustus
A tour around the rock this morning, with a custodian of the rock, Beeringgarra which is the aboriginal name for the rock, meaning Sleeping Man. After we visit Lions River and for those who wish a swim in this great spot in the outback. We return to our accommodation and spend the rest of the day relaxing. (Tour included in fare)
Day 12
Meekathara-Mt Magnet
With the rock behind us we travel to the Mt Gould Police Station, for a look at our past and learn about this black spot in Western Australian history. Then its onto Meekathara and a quick stop, before reaching Cue and Mt Magnet, which is our stop for our last night together.
Day 13
Mt Magnet-Perth
Today we begin our journey home to Perth, passing through wheat and sheep country, before arriving in Perth after a wonderful and relaxed tour of our coastal and outback areas. Stops will be made along the way for morning tea and lunch, also stopping at New Norcia in the afternoon for a comfort stop. (Morning tea and lunch not included this day)
